Elvis S. Maldonado-McGehee, also known as Looskidooroo, Elbesites, Elvers and El, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family a week and a day after his 14th birthday (98 in pup years).
Elvis was born in Bald Knob, Arkansas, USA. He spent his puppy years in Little Rock, Arkansas. He accompanied his mother driving across the country from California to New York City. Some of his favorite places in America include the Grand Canyon, New Orleans, Santa Barbara, and Ft. Lauderdale.
In 2013, Elvis moved to Arezzo, Italy. He had the possibility to travel through Europe, and obtained his European passport, earning stamps from Czech Republic, Slovenia, Romania, Poland, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
In 2014 Elvis suffered a terrible accident, surviving a fall from 13 feet, that would affect him the rest of his life, but certainly did not slow him down too much. His two front legs never made a full recovery. He walked with a limp resembling a peg leg.
Elvis knew several tricks, he loved bartering his knowledge of commands for treats. After each meal he wiped his mouth and if it was a satisfying meal he would even dig/pat at the rug he would wipe his face on. He never turned down a belly rub or a nap. If ever there was a party that would go late into the night, Elvis would excuse himself and take himself to bed. Elvis was mainly always at his mother’s side. He always did a head count for his family members and would search every room until everyone was accounted for. Elvis is survived by his mother Lourdes, father Sam, brothers Adrian and Dimitri.

In his memory and in lieu of flowers, his family asks that you donate/volunteer at your local shelter and hug your own dogs extra tight.
Best spirit ever!

Elvis had a sweet spirit, a mother that trained him well and a family that loved him dearly❗️ He took his life in stride and showed all who knew him how to accept life’s disappointments after his painful fall. He accepted his fate, healed, carried on wagging his tag and never complained. Elvis will never be forgotten and forever in our hearts. 🤎
