From Milan to Manhattan: Broken Jump’s Next Leap

A few months ago, we stood at a crossroads: Do we continue refining what we’ve built, or do we start fresh? Last night, as we opened our mini-tour in Tuscany, we realized we had already answered that question. This summer, after winning a handsome grant and performing at Teatro Piccolo–one of Europe’s most prestigious theaters–we were honored to be invited back to Milan to rework and deepen our performance. And now, as more collaborations emerge, something we’ve only dared to dream is finally within reach: bringing Broken Jump to New York City.

Opening night of our tour!

As we tour Tuscany, prepare to revisit Milan, and develop a new project on the ‘Situationists’ in the stunning region of Liguria, one thing is clear–Broken Jump is in motion. Our annual promenade project, now its eighth year, has become a tradition, proving that longevity and reinvention can go hand in hand. At the same time, our university workshops are helping us take tangible steps towards the long-envisioned next chapter: bringing our work to New York City. What once felt like a distant ambition is now an attainable reality. The pieces are falling into place, and with each new collaboration, performance, and workshop, we are shaping the future of Broken Jump–one leap at a time.
